e-Commerce Solution for APAC AOC

Introduction

Founded in 1967, AOC specialises in monitors and monitor accessories for home, office, and gaming. The client sold products in physical and online stores, using third-party websites like Shopee and Lazada across all regions, but they did not sell their products directly on their own website. With a global presence, AOC’s Singapore branch approached us to revamp their existing website to boost sales.

Solution

Cliff Digital Media suggested that AOC create their own e-commerce store on their existing official website, following the lead of tech industry giants. This approach would build consumer confidence and trust, assuring customers they could safely purchase products directly. Additionally, it would help avoid transaction fees and other costs associated with listing their products on third-party platforms.

Methodology

Given that AOC already had websites for each region, we developed a dedicated e-commerce store for each one. We recommended transitioning to Shopify, a leading e-commerce platform known for its competitive transaction and subscription fees and user-friendly interface for both front-end and back-end users. 

We added several new functionalities to the website. A live chat support system, integrated with AI for order tracking and product information, was introduced. Each regional team manages live support, accessible via Shopify’s app, enabling remote work. We also implemented bundles and discounts, such as offering a 20% discount on an arm when purchasing a monitor, with mix-and-match options. Improved filter integration allowed customers to easily filter products.

Multimedia production

Apart from web design, AOC employed the help of our production team to capture images for their marketing material. We conducted photoshoots and video productions for advertisements and printed media materials like brochures and posters for their events. 

YouTube Marketing

As Cliff Digital Media has their own tech-centric YouTube channel boasting over 140K subscribers as of June 2024, we uploaded unboxing and review videos to reach different demographics and create buzz within the community. Rebels Squad Tech also acted as a brand ambassador, fostering mutual growth and benefiting both the brand and our own goodwill.

Influencer Outreach

To increase their presence in the Singapore market, we proposed a cost-effective strategy to raise product awareness by sourcing influencers in the gaming industry. Additionally, we utilised our strong networks in the gaming community to promote AOC’s gaming monitors at e-sports events.

Conclusion

We successfully launched the new e-commerce store in Singapore, achieving positive results. In June, they re-engaged our services to replicate this success for the Hong Kong and Vietnam markets because they were pleased with the website design, found it easy to understand, and were able to manage their sales effectively.
